The world’s premier aeronautical and aerospace research center, National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), has sent the world into a tizzy by claiming that Mars could have possibly once supported life. Much to their jubilation, the claim has been corroborated by none other than Pakistan cricketing sensation, Shahid Afridi, who has said that he vividly remembers hiss encounters with Martians from a few millennia back.
In an exclusive interview with The UnReal Times NASA correspondent Rocket Singh, Afridi said, “I had just turned 13 then. One night, when I was practicing cricket near the campfire, by throwing the ball to a wall, waiting for it to come back to me and whacking it out of the area, the sky that night had a very big, red star. Of course, I didn’t know then that it was Mars. I was going near the grass lands to get the ball back, when I saw a few creatures flying towards me from that red star, in something that looked like a saucer. I don’t remember how exactly they looked though. It’s really long ago, you see!”
“However, I do remember two things – I saw their legs shivering in fear, as they came out of the saucer and walked towards me. I told them not to worry and that my clan and I had large hearts. But they wouldn’t listen. As a gesture, I told him that they can have my wooden plank and ball. Those days, there were no bats, you see – just wooden planks neatly made from trees and a ball neatly sculpted from stone. Anyway, I handed them the plank and ball and told them that I didn’t wanna play the game anyway. I told them they could have it. They seemed happy and accepted the stuff,” Afridi added.
However, all didn’t seem to end well, as Afridi said, “A minute later, I dunno what struck me – I wanted the plank and ball back. People play cricket till they’re 40 at least, and I realized I wouldn’t be turning 40 in at least seventy thousand years. So as they were about to fly back to their planet, I told them I’m gonna continue playing the game and that I needed the stuff back. From within their suits, they looked a little bewildered, but gave it back to me and flew back. That was the last time I ever saw them.”
