The Bengaluru Police have confirmed that they have subjected the allegedly* arrested alleged* suspect, allegedly* named Mehdi Masroor Biswas, who allegedly* ran the alleged* ISIS Twitter handle @ShamiWitness, to repeated viewing of “Action Jackson” as part of the interrogation process. (*added by NDTV).

“Yes, that’s right. Conventional methods like water-cannoning, belt-whipping and shock treatment didn’t work. The man didn’t budge. We tried Humshakals, which worked easily on many others in the past. Humshakals made him cry in agony, but still didn’t help in extracting any leads. Realizing that the man has a far thicker skin than we had anticipated, we then took the torture to whole new degree, by subjecting him to repeat viewing of Action Jackson, which made him want to behead himself,” Bengaluru Police Commissioner M N Reddi told The UnReal Times.

“We stopped him from doing so just in the nick of time. Since attempt to suicide is no longer criminal, we couldn’t charge him for his self-beheading attempt. But he’s promised to spill all the beans, provided we never show him even a poster of Action Jackson again. Let’s see what he’s got to say,” Mr.Reddi added. The news has already incurred the wrath of Human Rights groups, who have slammed the Bengaluru Police for going on the extreme. “I’m all for aggressive interrogation, but making a suspect view Action Jackson is just not done. Such torture is unacceptable,” noted Human Rights activist Vrinda Grover said.

Sources, however, added that Biswas has maintained his innocence and is confident of coming out clean. “I was just doing time-pass with @ShamiWitness. I never knew that it would be taken so seriously. Anyway, no more @ShamiWitness for me. I’m going to switch over to another handle, @LutyensWitness, once I’m out. That’s a much safer and more popularity-guaranteeing option,” Biswas is supposed to have said.

The arrest has, however, earned Biswas a series of invites from leading media houses for upcoming lit fests.
