Top-selling underwear brands in India like VIP, Lux and Hanes have decided to get into manufacturing radios, after Bollywood’s perfectionist actor Aamir Khan unveiled a poster of his upcoming movie, PK, where he’s seen posing nude, with only a radio covering his private parts.
“After this poster, we’re pretty sure that the number of men who are going to wear underwear is gonna drop and the number that are gonna wear radios is gonna shoot up sharply at least during the initial few months. We do not want to let go of the opportunity to capitalize on this and thus, we’ve all decided to start manufacturing these antique radios. You will soon be seeing a Lux Cozi Radio in the market,” a spokesperson from Lux Industries told The UnReal Times.
The move has been welcomed by model and actress Poonam Pandey too, who has offered to be the chief guest during the radio’s launch. “I’m so thrilled that my kinda dressing up is finally in vogue, thanks to Aamir! It’ll be a pleasure and a privilege for me to pose with one such radio during the grand launch of the product. Whichever company manufactures the first radio will have me launch it, in PP..err..PK style,” Pandey said.
Bollywood actress Sunny Leone is also expected to join the radio bandwagon very soon. PK’s poster also won the attention of director Mahesh Bhatt, who tweeted, “There’s too much nudity on TV, and not enough on the radio,” before author Jarod Kintz cried out plagiarism.
In other news, director Sajid Khan delivered another body blow to the psyche of the cinema going audience, after he announced plans to make Humshakals-2, and promised to soon unveil a poster of Ram Kapoor posing in a similar fashion, with a 40-inch TV instead of a radio.
